But what does "proper carpet maintenance" mean? It involves:

• Nearly daily vacuuming to eliminate dust.

• Regular maintenance at least once every two weeks using suitable equipment such as a professional injector-extractor machine.

• Occasional maintenance using an injector-extractor in case of significant events (extra foot traffic, spilled drinks or food, potential accidents...).

Cleaning with an injector-extractor deeply cleans the carpet. A cleaning solution is sprayed onto the carpet to loosen dirt, which is then vacuumed up by the same machine. This method is much more effective than using a regular vacuum cleaner for cleaning carpets and other fabrics.
